🏇 Quickfire Aintree Value Recap – Friday 4 April 2025
A bold day at Aintree targeting extended place terms and juicy win prices across the big fields. One standout landed, a few came close, and others were value swings that didn’t connect.
🔹 ❌ Tune In A Box (67.00) – 14:20 Aintree (7 places)
Travelled okay mid-pack but couldn't pick up late in a strong renewal. Worth a second look down in class or trip.
🔹 ❌ Mars Harper (34.00) – 16:05 Aintree (Topham Chase, 7 places)
Buried in a cavalry charge – never able to land a blow. Right type for summer jumping; keep on side in calmer waters.
🔹 ✅ Julius Des Pictons (17.00) – 16:40 Aintree (Sefton, 5 places)
Delivered the goods late at a lovely price. Stayed on powerfully to win outright – system justice for a strong-value profile.
🔹 ❌ Fiercely Proud (19.00) – 17:15 Aintree (6 places)
Looked briefly promising but faded tamely and pulled up. Something may have been amiss – not his true running.
🧠 System Verdict:
One big winner, one lesson in placing angles, and a couple of justified swings that didn’t land. Julius Des Pictons proved the method works when the value aligns.
